The longest tradition of tourism in Croatia, all-year-long availability of various facilities, and development of selective forms of tourism all together contribute to a rich tourist offerings that meet the needs of present day tourists, with all their different requirements, throughout the four seasons. Here you can find a beach that suits you: maintained or natural, well-known or secluded, large or small, stone, pebble and sand... Our most beautiful beaches have Blue flags, symbols of well-kept, safe and pleasant environment for vacation, entertainment and recreation, of high-quality service and of clean sea and shore, as well as of fully-equipped beach and marina. There are fifteen beaches that fly the blue flag in Kvarner: Baska, Crikvenica, Dramalj, Novi Vinodolski, Rab, Lopar, Njivice, Veli and Mali Losinj, two beaches in Selce and four in Krk. There are also nudist beaches in Kvarner. the ones on the island of Cres, Krk, Losinj and Rab are considered the best ones by the nudists. Sailing is truly the best way of discovering Croatia's remarkable coast. Many of the finest Kvarner islands are inaccessible without your own boat. Risnjak National Park is only 15 km of air distance from the sea. Its mountainous area is 64 km2, from the Snjeznik massif on the west, to the river Kupa, including its spring, on the northeast. It spreads from 270 m above the sea level to the Veliki Risnjak peak, 1528 m. Underneath the mountain top there is a mountain hut. During the hottest summer days the temperature is around 20C.
