Town of Vrsi is situated in the far northwestern part of northern Dalmatia, in addition to one of the central peninsula, which ends with the continental part of Dalmatia to Pag, about 5km northeast of the city of Nin.
Town of Vrsi was established in the Middle Ages and was first mentioned in year 1387. Set deep inside the bay this quiet place will delight you with clear sea, that is few degrees warmer than the in nearby towns, because of its protected position. Special atmosphere is enhanced by the smell of pine trees that will provide shade needed during the hot summer months.
Besides enjoying the Dalmatian cuisine and beautiful nature, you can see the medieval church of Sv. James the 12th century, and in the center of old town is the church of St. Michael from 18th c. In the village you will enjoy numerous sand and rocky beaches, suitable for an active holiday. The vicinity of Zadar, which is the cultural headquarters of the northern Dalmatia makes town of Vrsi even more comfortable for a quiet family holiday.
