Blato,Croatia is a small town on the island of Korcula, 4 kilometers from the sea. Along the town, there is a gorgeous alley of linden trees, more than 1 km long, so it makes for a very special experience to walk through in June, when the linden is blooming. The road from this town takes you to the south coast, where you can find the picturesque coves of Grscica, Prizba, Karbuni and Potirna. Looking from the coves, there is a view of a group of islands with beautiful beaches. Every year, on April 28th - a holiday in honor of the patron saint of Blato, Saint Vicence - Kumpanija, a knights association established in 1927, performs a joust between the two armies who show their readiness to defend their homeland, in remembrance of ancient times when defending the island was in the hands of the country's island command, "kumpanija".
