Slano serves both as a village and as a small harbor at the bay of Slano. It is located 38 km northwest of Dubrovnik, on the main road (M2, E65). At Slano there is a small protected Banja cove that is suitable for small yacht anchoring. Southwest of Cape Gornji there is also an anchoring ground for bigger yachts.
